Will Angry Sharks GM Demolish Team?

Sep 22, 2014 7:23 AM

The Sharks embarrassing first-round elimination from the NHL playoffs has sent GM Doug Wilson into a fury that may last all summer. Wilson has plenty to do, but he?s trying to wait until he calms down before he decides where to begin. ?The frustration is overwhelming,? Wilson said. ?We owe an apology to our fans and our ownership. ? Everything will be evaluated. There?s nothing that?s off the table. This is going to be a tough, painful summer, and it should be.? Wilson realizes he must consider demolishing a team he thought was built to win the Stanley Cup. Instead, the problems appear to be too big to solve with just some minor tweaks or the addition of several veterans.

"We will follow up on the Rangers' request, as appropriate," NHL spokesman Frank Brown said. "We had already implemented additional security procedures for Games 6 and 7 and we don't anticipate any further problems."
